InstaFAN combines a central 22-gauge fine needle biopsy (FNB) needle with four peripheral 25-gauge fine needle aspiration (FNA) needles on a single disposable catheter, deployed sequentially through one endoscopic ultrasound access point (minimum working channel 2.8 mm; working length 1,400 mm; maximum needle length 80 mm) to collect five tissue specimens without repositioning. The underlying needle-handling mechanism, which advances a sheathed assembly of needles through an endoscope and controls them via separate handles, is covered by issued US patents. The pipeline builds on the same multi-needle access platform for EUS-guided radiofrequency ablation, which distributes thermal energy across multiple sites to treat pancreatic tumors larger than those addressable with conventional single-point EUS-RFA, and for an EUS-guided drug-delivery device that injects therapeutic agents directly into tumor tissue.

Gastroenterologists and endoscopy centers performing EUS-guided biopsy procedures, and hospitals reached through medical device distributors.
