UPnRIDE Robotics' technology is patented and based on proprietary know-how including sophisticated algorithms. The UPnRIDE is a device that allows wheelchair users to be mobile also in standing position and the novelty in its design is three folds: maintaining the same center of gravity in both sitting and standing position, making it very hard to tip over when standing up. Second, the user stands on an active stabilized platform (auto-balancing), which automatically maintains the user vertical to earth. Finally, in emergencies the UPnRIDE is able to identify when the user is at risk and activates safety measures.
