Tracense provides nanotechnology-based sensors for detecting different known explosives, including narcotics and chemical and biological threats. It does so by enabling the fabrication of large nano-wire arrays on a small semiconductor chip, which can be manufactured at industrial scale. Its electrical sensing device (FET transistor) created out of nanowire, gets triggered by the intrinsic charge of the target molecules and the ability to create low-cost arrays of numerous nano-sensors in a small area.
