Establishment of R&D labs and databases accessible to the entire industry

Program's Description

This incentive program enables the establishment and joint operation of R&D infrastructure for the industry via a single corporate or an association of users (a group of corporations operating in similar fields) designed to establish an R&D lab or subsidize R&D equipment, providing access to the infrastructure, equipment or databases to the industry.

This incentive program operates on a year-long verticle – for the establishment of R&D labs and data sources and making these infrastructure avaiable to the general community. The second verticle operates via the publication of Calls for Proposals (RFPs) that will be involve the establishment of such R&D infacstructure for a dedicated use or per specific requirements.

Goal of the incentive program

To promote sharing of vital R&D infrastructure between users to create added value for all R&D-based companies and to share the financial burden.

Who is the incentive program for?

  • Companies engaged in providing services or infrastructure essential for the establishment of R&D projects.
  • Companies interested in designated infrastructure equipment in order to provide innovative R&D services to different corporations.
  • An association of users interested in establishing a joint R&D infrastructure and making it accessible to the entire R&D industry.

What do you get?

  • A company interested in infrastructure equipment: a one-time grant of 55% or 66% of approved expenditure up to a total of NIS 5 million (purchase, installation, and initial preparation for the equipment’s operation).
  • The Users Association: a grant of 55% or 66% of approved expenditure, including the infrastructure’s specification, establishment, and ongoing operation for a period of up to 6 years.
  • Both company or Users Association will supplement up to 100% from the total expenditure.
  • At times, some relevant calls for proposals may offer a larger budget cap (per specific details of the published call for proposal).

Why should I join this incentive program?

Cost-effectiveness: Pooling of resources towards a joint initiative, the establishment of which would be uneconomic for an individual company, and exposure to accessible technological wealth with minimal resources.
