The project
1-4 years of high-risk high-gain project, exploring innovative ideas (TRL1-2) up to a proof of concept (TRL3-4). Projects can be in any area (Pathfinder Open) or dedicated to specific challenges, changing annually (Pathfinder Challenge).
EU funding
The EIC Pathfinder offers a grant of 3-4 million euros to an individual entity (Pathfinder Challenge only) or a consortium (Pathfinder Open and Pathfinder Challenge) initiating the process from basic science at the early stages toward market down the line.
