- EIT model is based on partnerships across industries. To achieve that, EIT has 9 Europe-wide networks centred around addressing a specific societal challenge. The knowledge innovation communities (KICs) consist of: Businesses and investors, higher education institutions, research centres, and public and non-profit organisations. Each KIC focuses on addressing a specific societal challenge by leading innovation project and initiatives:
