ISERD- Israel-Europe Research & Innovation Directorate
ISERD promotes the participation of Israeli entities in European research and innovation (R&I) activities, serving as a gateway to European R&I programs.
Who We Are?
ISERD is an inter-ministerial directorate established by the Israeli Ministry of Economy, the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education, the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It operates through the Israel Innovation Authority and is Israel’s official National Contact Point (NCP) with the EU for all Framework Programme activities.
ISERD’s office in Brussels represents the interests of ISERD at the European Commission level. Intensive contact with other participating countries as well as Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs) and industry associations, liaison with the European Commission and updates about the latest developments and initiatives are among the main tasks.
Our Goal
ISERD oversees The EU Framework Programme for R&I HORIZON EUROPE, including the programmes co-funded by National and EU funds (Partnerships).
Our primary objective is maximizing Israel’s success in the programmes and enhancing Israel’s scientific and industrial collaboration within the European research and innovation ecosystem.
Our Services
ISERD provides a range of services to support Israeli entities engaging with European R&I activities:
- Information dissemination: We offer detailed information on funding and collaboration opportunities through personal meetings, events, webinars, newsletters, social media, our YouTube channel and our website.
- Partner searches and matchmaking: We assist in finding suitable partners and organizing matchmaking events.
- Proposal submission support: We provide guidance throughout the proposal submission process.
- Red Team services: Our experts from the Israel Innovation Authority offer professional proposal reviews to enhance submission quality.
- Track 37 for Consortiums and single beneficieries: We reimburse expenses for proposal writing, consulting services, travel for partner searches, and payment for partner search platforms for R&I for profit organisations.
