Israel is one of the associated countries, therefore any organization registered in Israel can participate in the programme and benefit from R&I cooperation and European funding.

EIC’s STEP Programme: Your Path to Significant Fund Raising
Join us to learn about STEP (The Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform), a new Scale-Up Call published by the European Innovation Council (EIC) under Horizon Europe. The STEP program focuses on three key areas: Digital and Deep Tech, Clean Tech, and Biotech. This is a fantastic opportunity for SMEs and Mid-Caps (up to 499 employees) to raise equity investments ranging from €10 million to €30 million for scaling their businesses. With a budget of €300 million available annually from 2025 to 2027, the STEP program aims to enhance Europe’s competitiveness and independence in these vital fields. To submit a proposal, the company must secure an investment of 20% of the round (M50€-M150€) from a pre-committed investor.

ERC Starting 2024 call results

30 researchers from Israeli institutes have been awarded the grant from Tel Aviv university, Weizmann Institute of Science, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Ben Gurion University of the Negev and Bar-Ilan University.

The total funding that Israel will receive is almost 50,000,000 €.

€108 Million Awarded to Israeli Startups by European Innovation Council

Nine Israeli startup companies have been awarded a total of € 108 million from the European Innovation Council’s EIC Accelerator Programme. The funding will support these startups in various high-impact sectors, positioning them to make substantial advancements and compete on a global scale. This achievement underscores Israel’s robust presence in the European startup ecosystem, demonstrating the country’s innovative prowess and the high quality of its entrepreneurial ventures.

The Israeli companies awarded the prestigious grants are: LightSolver Ltd, JAXBIO Technologies Ltd, Nurami Medical Ltd, SPACEPHARMA R&D Israel Ltd, Reophotonics, Impact Biotech Ltd, RAAAM Memory Technologies Ltd, Quantum Transistors Technology, and MediWound Ltd. These companies operate in diverse fields, including chips, health, quantum, and space, encompassing both relatively young companies and more mature companies with proven market experience.

The EIC Accelerator program offers the winning companies a mixed funding model that includes a grant of up to €2.5 million and equity investment of up to €15 million. Additionally, the program provides mentoring and business development to accelerate the growth of the companies and transform them into leading players in the global market.

Submitting a proposal for the Horizon Europe? You are entitled to reimbursement of expenses!

From now on, companies will once again be able to benefit from the support, also in the mono-beneficiary projects in the EIC Accelerator and EIC Pathfinder.
