R&D Fund for the Manufacturing Industry

From Development to Production

Program's Description

This program aims to encourage technology-oriented industrial companies that have developed an innovative, world-class technological product to advance the research and/or development of advanced manufacturing processes to support their competitiveness in the global market

Goal of the incentive program

The goal of this program is to enable the following:

  • Development and implementation of a new manufacturing process, or a significant improvement to an existing one, for a technological product characterized by global-level competitive innovation
  • Promotion of the establishment of factories and production lines based on advanced technologies
  • Supporting companies in bridging the gap from development to production, and assisting them in establishing long-term operations in Israel

Who is the incentive program for?

This program is intended for technology-oriented industrial companies (as defined in the main incentive program) that have developed an innovative, world-class technological product and wish to advance R&D of its manufacturing process

What do you get?

  • The approved budget ceiling for the application amounts to a maximum of NIS 7,500,000 for an execution period of 12 months, or NIS 15,000,000 for a period of up to 24 months.
  • The grant rate stands at 40% of the approved budget and will not exceed a total of NIS 3,000,000 or NIS 6,000,000, respectively.
  • An additional 10% of the approved grant rate will be added to the approved grant if the recipient of the approval carries out the main part of the program in Development Areas A and B, so that the total grant amount after this addition will be 44% of the approved budget for the company, which will amount to a maximum of NIS 3,300,000 or NIS 6,600,000, respectively.

Why should I join this incentive program?

  • A predefined grant model and project budget, enabling the company to execute a technological development plan for its manufacturing process
  • Encouraging the establishment of new production lines and maintaining close proximity between development and manufacturing, which will also support future product development
