Summary
The Singapore Israel Foundation (SIIRD) invites Israeli companies and academic institutions together with Singaporean companies and academic institutions to submit an application for the strategic track to support cooperation in the field of Agri-Food Tech (with an emphasis on alternative proteins).
The goal of this program is to establish mini-consortium of industry and academia that will together produce revolutionary and groundbreaking R&D starting from the research and development phase to commercialization.

Relevant Technologies
The Agri-food Tech Sector Track is open to all agri-food tech projects proposals between Singaporean and Israeli companies with an emphasis on Alternative Proteins
Program Description
We are searching for innovative proposals in the fields of Sustainable Food Production, Alternative Proteins – plant-based, fermentation derived or cultivated, Food Safety or in any other innovative agri-food tech field
Criteria
- The project must include at least one registered company from each country (Israel and Singapore) and one academic institution from each country (Israel and Singapore), up to a maximum of 6 participants
- The joint project must be undertaken in Singapore and Israel, with at least 30% of the actual R&D work done in Singapore and Israel respectively
- The technology and product developed must have potential for commercialization
- Regardless of whether there are 2, 3, or 4 researchers in the consortium, the budget allocated to research performers must not exceed 30% of the proposed total cost of the project
- The companies must have financial strength to finance the complementary part of the fund’s support
- Either company must not have more than 20% shareholding in the partnering company.

Funding
- The maximum grant funding per project is up to US$3M or 66% of the eligible cost, whichever is lower.
- Project duration is up to 3 years (36 months).
Application Process
The deadline for submission is 15 December 2022 at 12:00 (Israel Time Zone).
The applications need to be submitted by the Israeli companies and their foreign partners in collaboration.
All applications should be jointly written in English and submitted both to SIIRD offices simultaneously, by all parties of consortium together, and to the Israeli Innovation Authority online system by the Israeli companies.
- 1.First step: ES (Executive Summary) submission to SIIRD
Both companies shall work on the Executive Summary using SIIRD’s guidelines and templates.
The deadline for submission is 15 December 2022 at 12:00 (Israel Time Zone).
The applications need to be submitted by the Israeli companies and their foreign partners in collaboration.
All applications should be jointly written in English and submitted both to SIIRD offices simultaneously, by all parties of
consortium together, and to the Israeli Innovation Authority online system by the Israeli companies. - Second step: Full proposal
In the second phase, the projects approved in the first phase will be asked to submit their full proposal, which will include details about the R&D plan, task schedule, R&D roles of each participating organization, full budget plan, commercialization strategy, etc.
NOTE: The applications need to be submitted by the Israeli companies and their foreign partners in collaboration.
The Innovation Authority only accepts complete applications, which are submitted together with all the forms asked by the fund. Applications received after the deadline or in an incomplete way will be rejected.
