Proventis' implant is inserted into the vas deferens using an approach similar to the gold-standard Non-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) technique. It blocks sperm flow from reaching the urethra for effective contraception and can be easily unplugged to restore fertility on demand. Both implantation and reversal are minimally invasive and performed by a urologist under local anesthesia in under 20 minutes.
