Optical Camera Communication (OCC) is a technology that uses a camera to detect and decode light signals. It turns light patterns, such as flashing lights or light codes, into data. OCC technology enables communication by transmitting information using visible light, infrared light, or other forms of light that the camera can capture
Transmitter - A light source, such as an LED, transmits information through light signals, functioning similarly to Morse code but using light instead of sound.
Reciever - A camera receiver designed to capture signals from multiple transmitters within its field of view. It can utilize either a COTS sensor or an OCC CMOS sensor.
Eikolos has the technology to enable COTS camera sensor to act as an optical Reciever, and a purpose built design of an OCC sensor to perform the required functionality, at the silicon level, supporting med-high bandwidth at every pixel, at low power consmption and small footprint.
