LuSeed has developed a novel aneurysm treatment device, providing a first in its class solution for over 30% of cases which lack a safe and effective treatment. The company has recently commenced its clinical phase, with so far highly promising results.

LuSeed Vascular's core platform is a nitinol-based, self-expanding intrasaccular implant delivered through a microcatheter via a minimally invasive, transfemoral (groin) approach, eliminating the need for craniotomy. The device uses a dual-layered, symmetric braided mesh with high mesh density to achieve continuous wall apposition across the aneurysm neck, producing acute diversion of pulsatile blood flow away from the aneurysm sac and promoting vessel-wall healing toward closure. It is designed for angle-flexible deployment from virtually any catheter position without protrusion into the parent artery, and its low-thrombogenicity profile is intended to reduce or eliminate the need for chronic dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT). The device is offered in five sizes and is compatible with robotic delivery systems.
