Cognata is developing a photorealic simulation platform for training and validation of autonomous systems in the automotive industry.

Cognata's platform is built on a synthetic-data and simulation engine that reconstructs photorealistic 3D environments from real-world map and sensor data, then generates large volumes of labeled synthetic sensor output (camera, LiDAR, radar) for training and validating autonomous-driving perception and control models. Its DriveMatrix component uses generative AI to expand real-world driving data into controlled variations of terrain, weather, lighting, and sensor conditions, supporting large-scale edge-case and scenario generation. The AVBox hardware line applies the same perception and simulation-derived models to real-time multi-sensor fusion and mapless, GPS-denied navigation for physical vehicle retrofits.
