Shopic technologies ltd

Shopic's platform is built on a single computer vision stack for item-level product recognition. The Shop-E clip-on device carries two cameras facing into the cart basket and a touchscreen; deep learning models identify products as they are placed in or removed from the cart, including items added while the cart is moving or several at once, and support catalogs of tens of thousands of SKUs (the company cites 100k+ items). Processing runs on the device itself, so stores need no servers or network upgrades; deployment requires only a charger-shelf unit and plastic mounts on existing carts. Retailers train the models on their own catalog by inserting each product into a cart a few times. The loss prevention product applies the same models to self-checkout terminals, running at the edge on the terminal to validate scans, detect missed scans, mislabeling and barcode switching, track items across movements and partial occlusion, and monitor carts, baskets and shopper behavior around the station; it integrates with existing SCO and POS systems and syncs model updates from the cloud. A promotions engine delivers targeted offers on the cart screen using rules based on shopper identity and store location, with APIs to retailers' existing promotion platforms, and an analytics layer reports shopper paths, store heat maps, planogram compliance and live inventory. The company holds a granted U.S. patent on a portable device that tracks items inserted into or removed from a shopping container for fast checkout.
