EnzymoCore’s immobilized enzymes “biocatalysts” were developed as an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to replace the conventional alkaline/acid conventional catalysts. The immobilized enzymes, supported on solid organic resins, can be used either in batch reactors or in continuous reactors. EnzymoCore’s cutting edge technology produces high quality ASTM- & EN-grade biodiesel from all vegetable- and animal-based feedstocks especially those characterized with high free fatty acids content (FFAs), such as brown grease, animal fat and waste cooking oil. The use of the biocatalyst lowers significantly the total production costs of biodiesel.
