About the Event

The Korea-Israel Foundation for Research and Development (KORIL-RDF) is holding an event to launch the new strategic program of 2023 in the field of smart transportation!

We invite you: leading companies, startups, research institutions and researchers to participate in the event, learn about existing and future trends, share your ideas and connect with potential partners coming from Korea.
During the event we will enjoy fascinating lectures in the field and hold a series of professional industry/academia meetings from Israel and Korea.

What are we gathering for?

We will learn about global trends and discuss the existing challenges, present the Korea-Israel Foundation's programs, and launch the new strategic call for proposal.
The partners for the event are the Korea Israel Foundation, the Innovation Authority, MOTIE (South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy).

What is it KORIL-RDF?

The Korea Israel Foundation (KORIL) promotes and supports technological cooperation projects between Israeli companies and Korean companies. The fund has four programs: a feasibility test track, an R&D program, a pilot track and a strategic track.
Unlike the other tracks of KORIL, the strategic track is the only track whose topic is jointly chosen yearly by the board of directors of the fund in accordance with the national strategy of the countries.
As part of this track, we would like to receive proposals for groundbreaking projects in the chosen field when the project partners are a companies and a research institution from each side (minimum 4 participants). The support for this program can reach a total of about 5 million dollars. The ambition is for the projects to start from the applied research phase to the pilot phase while creating an impact in the field, up to three years.
Why should you join? The program aims to solve significant and groundbreaking challenges with attractive financial support.

What awaits you at the event?

Following the opening of the Call for Proposal, we will hold an event to present the new program and host experts in the various fields for a fascinating discussion, presenting the needs and opportunities in each of the topics. Also, the event provides a fertile ground to network with stakeholders, companies, researchers and creating collaborations for the benefit of the submissions and exposure to the field.
Some important things to know:

  • Participation involves filling out a registration form in the link below
  • The professional meetings are in group (about 10-15 people in each group)
  • You can choose to participate in a maximum of two sessions
  • In the case of scheduling two meetings, please take into account that they may not take place consecutively
  • The exact time of the round tables will be sent by return email - after completing the registration form.
  • The number of participants is limited; therefore you may receive an answer that the registration for the table you requested is already taken or that the registration to the event is close.
  • Participation in the event is subject to approval. The registration itself does not constitute a confirmation of participation and one must wait to receive the confirmation by a formal email, which must be presented at the entrance to the event.
  • Since the event is focused on specific fields, participation is for those from academia and industry who are engaged in these fields.
