About the event

For the first time, the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) at the World Economic Forum, in collaboration with its Israeli Chapter, the Israel Innovation Authority and GFI Israel publish a report on the activity in the alternative protein sector in Israel, emphasizing Israel’s leadership strategy in the field, government activity, and examining the Israeli case study as a lever for building a national plan in other countries and promoting international cooperation.

This webinar will provide an up-to-date overview of both global and local perspectives in this field, drawing on the main findings of the report in food technologies. We will examine the proactive strategy of the Innovation Authority in collaboration with various sectors to enhance competitiveness. Additionally, we will highlight the crucial role of the public sector and the Innovation Authority in preemptively identifying obstacles and providing solutions. Introducing a model of government initiatives aimed at providing targeted support, utilizing the local ecosystem, and propose strategies for fostering international collaboration to bolster this global industry.
