Zachi Schnarch is the Deputy CEO and Head of the Technology Division at the Innovation Authority. In this capacity he is responsible for a range of activities having to do with assessing the requests submitted to the Authority; this process is performed through the management of 180 professional auditors, who review the different requests submitted and provide an overall report that includes technological and business considerations as well as impact on the overall Israeli economy, for the review of the Authority’s investment committees. In addition, he is responsible, via the CTO department, for formulating the policy on the government’s activities concerning Israeli companies engaged in R&D.
Schnarch has over 25 years of experience in leading R&D projects while specializing in applicative research and its implementation in the fields of security and high-tech (both industry and academia). In the span of these years, he has served in various positions, which contributed to the establishment and development of the technological infrastructure of the state of Israel, for which he has won numerous awards. Over the years, he has also led various collaborations with a variety of organizations and research centers in Europe, the U.S.A., and the Far East.
In his last position prior to joining the Innovation Authority, Schnarch served as the CEO of a high-tech company named LMY, involved in the field of software and algorithms.
Schnarch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
