Assaf Shechner

​Assaf serves as ISERD’s Senior Director for Industry, Digital, Space, and Civil Security. He brings over 25 years of experience in R&D, product strategy, and business development across companies operating in the smart mobility and smart city domains.
He is a seasoned executive with a proven track record in leading product management, partnerships, and business development functions within deep-tech and nanotechnology companies, including Mobileye (NASDAQ: MBLY), Gauzy (NASDAQ: GAUZ), and Oosto.
Assaf has also been actively involved as a mentor in a range of public and private accelerators and has served as a commercial advisor to a defense-tech venture capital fund investing in early-stage startups.
He holds an MBA from Ben-Gurion University and a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion.
