Summary:
The Singapore-Israel Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Foundation (SIIRD) invites Israeli technological companies to submit joint proposals Feasibility studies, R&D, and Pilot projects with Singaporean companies. The program provides Israeli companies the opportunity to receive grants to work with their Singaporean partners on innovative technological R&D and pilot projects. Program Description
SIIRD seeks to promote research and development in Singapore and Israel by helping Singapore-based and Israel-based companies with R&D Partner Search and providing up to US$1.5M in funding for joint R&D projects between them.
Through joint R&D collaboration using SIIRD’s funding, companies can:
- Create new/enhanced products and technology,
- Expanded product portfolio for customers,
- Expand to new markets,
- Shortened time-to-market of new/enhanced products and technology

Funding
Funding for Feasibility Study:
- Project type: Investigation designed to determine the technical feasibility and market acceptance of a new product or process concept.
- Duration: Up to 6 months
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL): 3-4
- Grant as % of Total Budget: 50% of the total project’s cost or up to US$ 50,000 whichever is lower
- Royalties for the Israeli Companies (N/A for Singapore applicants): Full grant, no royalties
Funding for R&D projects:
- Project type: Project designed to create or enhance commercialization of product or technology
- Duration: Up to 24 months
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL): 5-6
- Grant as % of Total Budget: Up to 50% of the total project’s cost or up to US$ 1.5 million, whichever is lower
- Royalties for the Israeli Companies (N/A for Singapore applicants) – 3-5%
Funding for Pilot projects:
- Project type: Pilot projects designed to test existing, near-market technologies and solutions.
- Duration: Up to 12 months
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL): 7-8
- Grant as % of Total Budget: Up to 50% of the total project’s cost or up to US$1 million, whichever is lower.
- Royalties for the Israeli Companies (N/A for Singapore applicants) – 3-5%
***Grant payment to companies from Singapore and Israel will be provided in local currency, namely Singapore Dollar and Israeli Shekels respectively.
Criteria
- The application must be jointly submitted by a Singapore-registered company and an Israel-registered company.
- Either company must not have more than 20% shareholding in the partnering company.
- The joint project must be undertaken in Singapore and Israel, with at least 30% of the actual R&D work done in Singapore and Israel respectively.
- Technology and product developed must have potential for commercialization.

Application Process
- The deadline for submission is July 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM (IST).
- The applications must be submitted by the Israeli companies and their foreign partners together.
- Singaporean lead applicant needs to submit preliminary application 1 week before the Call for Proposals deadline – ie: by July 8, 2025 at this link.
