Program Description

OCCI and O-BIC invite Israeli companies in the areas of IoT, AI, FinTech, Digital Health, ZEB (Zero Energy Buildings) to apply and participate in one of a kind forum in Osaka – “Global Innovation Forum” where the selected companies will have a chance to be introduce to the Japanese market, present their technologies, participate in pitch events and have B2B with the biggest corporates in Japan.

Tentative Schedule (subject to change):

Day 1 Check in Hotel (Wednesday, Oct. 9)
Day 2 (Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019)
【Orientation】

  • Briefing on Osaka (by O-BIC: Osaka Business and Investment Center)
  • Introduction of overall program (by OCCI)

【Global Innovation Forum】

  • Keynote speech
  • Pitches to be given by companies to VCs and Japanese companies (large to medium sized)
  • Demonstrations to be given by companies
  • One to one business meetings with Japanese companies and VCs

【Welcoming dinner】

Day 3 (Friday, Oct. 11, 2019)

  • Visit the Open Innovation Hub ‘Xport’ (Crossport) ~established by OCCI and Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT)
  • Follow up meetings with Japanese companies

Day 4 (Sat, Oct. 12, 2019)

Funding

  • Flight fee (up to nearly $1,600 per company.  To be paid by yen after arrival, or tickets to be arranged by OCCI)
  • Accommodation fee for 3 nights(including breakfast for 3 days)
  • Interpretation fee (Pitches: simultaneous /  one to one meetings: consecutive)
  • Meals (for lunch on Oct. 10 and Oct.11, and dinner on Oct. 10)

Criteria

  1. Startups and Companies with advanced technology in the field of IoT, AI, FinTech, Digital Health, ZEB (Zero Energy Buildings)
  2. Startups and Companies with test pilot models that are almost complete and are able to give demonstrations at the event room.
  3. Startups and Companies who wish to collaborate with Japanese or overseas companies (technology tie-ups or catpital tie-ups, etc)
