Summary:
The objective of this partnership Call for Proposal is to broadly leverage, across countries (among the 16 participating nations in this partnership, including Israel, European countries, and countries associated with the Horizon Europe programme), the potential of data, such as environmental data, Earth observation, agricultural data, and agro-sensor data, together with advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence, to support sustainable agriculture, address climate change through advanced data technologies, and monitor policy performance.
This is a co-funded partnership: a model in which the European Commission partially funds projects, while the main responsibility and resources come from the member states and national entities. This means that participating countries commit to allocating dedicated national budgets, and the European Commission adds a complementary funding layer. In this way, a joint mechanism of strategic coordination and combined investments is created, enabling both industry and academia to take part in large-scale consortia with a higher level of stability and sense of ownership by the countries—all in accordance with and subject to the details outlined in the sub-programme.
Program Description
The call is open to an Israeli partner within a consortium (an Israeli entity that has submitted an application to the Ag Data sub-program, as specified in the ISERD guidelines)
This call will focus on the following areas of activity, drawn from the topics of the European partnership’s call for proposals:
- Data Technologies and Data Management
The objective of this topic is to develop capabilities that enable the use, integration, storage, and accessibility of agricultural data from diverse sources — in accordance with FAIR principles.
- Data-Based Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture
This topic aims to develop data-driven solutions that strengthen smart, efficient, and sustainable agriculture — with an emphasis on decision-making tools, farm management, and performance evaluation.
This call is open for submitting applications to carry out joint research and development projects within the Ag Data partnership, together with partners from countries participating in the partnership, in accordance with and subject to the procedure for implementing international agreements related to the European Framework Programme

This does not constitute a commitment to pay this amount, in whole or in part.

The call is open to Israeli Industrial corporations that submitted an application to the AgData partnership and researchers from Israeli academia through the research institution’s commercialization company, conducting joint research with an Israeli industrial corporation partner in the consortium, which committed to fund at least 10% of the Israeli academic partner’s project budget).
