Summary:

In the current climate, nearly a year into the ongoing military conflict, many members of the reserve duty forces find themselves either unemployed or eager to embark on new career paths. With a growing interest in transitioning to the high-tech sector, these individuals are seeking opportunities to reinvent themselves. Some possess innovative ideas for projects or potential startups, yet they often lack the knowledge and understanding of the high-tech landscape. Bridging this gap is essential to help them successfully navigate and thrive in this dynamic industry.

Program Description

This Call for Oroposal is intended for companies/Academic organizations / Venture Capital Funds that have both the knowledge and experience of developing and supporting new entrepreneurs

The training courses will cover a range of essential topics, including:

  • Ideation methods
  • Pitch tools and storytelling techniques
  • Support for current reserve duty members transitioning to the high-tech sector
  • Guidance on becoming an entrepreneur

Criteria

The application and the applicant must meet all the following cumulative threshold conditions at the time of submitting the application and during each implementation period of the approved program. An application that does not meet one of the following threshold conditions may be rejected or lead to the cancellation of the approved program, according to the following conditions:

  1. The applicant is a corporation that was legally incorporated and registered in Israel and adheres to the laws of the State of Israel.
  2. If the applicant is a non-profit organization or a Public Benefit Company (“PWB”) – and has a valid certification from the Associations Unit at the Israeli Corporations Authority and the PWB, for proper management, or alternatively, if two years have not yet passed from the opening of its business – an authorization for submitting their documents.
    Despite the stated in this Call, an applicant who is an association or a non-profit organization, who does not hold a certification of proper management or an authorization of submitting such documents, as the case may be, at the time of applying, may present such certifications and authorizations until the date of signing a budget sheet and receiving a commitment letter by the benefit program.
  3. The request is intended to address one or more of the challenges in developing skilled human capital for the knowledge-intensive industry in Israel.
  4. No financial assistance was received, directly or indirectly, from a government agency or the Innovation Authority, to carry out the case that is the subject of the request, other than according to the provisions of the Innovation Authority’s Human Capital for High-Tech Fund.
  5. The applicant does not have restricted accounts and is not in the process of receivership, freezing of proceedings, liquidation, etc.
  6. The applicant and its controlling owners are companies, corporations, non-profit organizations, and academic external study units that will train reservists and discharged soldiers who are eligible according to the Foundation and Unit for Discharged Soldiers – as defined under the 1994 Absorption of Discharged Soldiers Law.
