Program Description

The agreement between the Israel Innovation Authority and DNP aims to encourage cooperation between Israeli companies and DNP in the areas of research and development in various fields.

DNP invites Israeli companies to submit proposals on joint R&D projects in the following fields:

  1. Electronics shading technology for cutting sun’s rays.
    • Methods or processes do not matter, such as PDLC, EC, SPD, active type, or passive type.
    • Need to change from transparent to black/dark-navy blue.
    • Light transmittance should be lower than 1% at black/dark-navy blue.
    • Reaction velocity is 1 min or below. The speed of 1 second is desirably.
    • Need to show samples.
  2. Electronics screen technology for projector
    • PDLC is preferable, but methods or processes do not matter.
    • Need to change from transparent to frosted.
    • It would be preferable if Haze was lower than 1% at transparent state.
    • It would be better if Haze was higher after reaction.
    • Need to be transparent at power off.
    • Lower driving voltage is preferable.
    • Need to show samples.
  3. Inkjet technology of enabling the application of a pattern on the surface of 3D structure.
    • 3D structure consists of PP or ABS.
    • Maximum width of printed area should be bigger than 50cm.
    • Need to show samples.
  4. Material and/or process of having functions of anti-reflection or anti-fingerprint
    • Need to have functions of anti-reflection or anti-fingerprint.
    • Combination of process and material is acceptable. Only process is also sufficient.
    • Processes like evaporation and coating do not matter.
    • Need to show samples.
  5. Method of detecting vibration spectrum
    • Detect vibration spectrum for thin film of which thickness is 100nm or under, or micro object of which size is 100nm or under.
    • Need to do a sample test.
  6. Optical simulation method conforming to actual visibility
    • The targeted measurement item is incident light and/or reflection light.
  7. Durability simulation
    • Need to simulate of deterioration of resin properties from some factor of light, moisture, temperature.
    • Objects are multi-kind resins.
  8. Digitization of tactile impression.
    • Need to digitize tactile impression
    • Need to do sample test.

Companies that are interested in applying should send a summary proposal to Noam.BarGal@innovationisrael.org.il

The proposals will be evaluated, on behalf of the Innovation Authority and DNP. Companies, whose proposals are found suitable, will be invited to submit requests for support within the Innovation Authority’s Framework for R&D Cooperation with Multinational Companies. More information on the Innovation Authority Framework for R&D Collaboration with Global Enterprises is available in Hebrew here and in English here.

Approved applications will receive the following assistance:

  • An Innovation Authority grant (loan) of up to 50% of the project’s approved budget

Additional assistance from DNP of the same budget amount in-kind, for support in the technological, regulatory and marketing areas; use of laboratory equipment for R&D; sub-contractors and professional consultants; etc.
