Summary:
This Call for Proposals is launched under the Israel Innovation Authority’s Applied Research in Academia and Industry Program. The program supports the development and commercialization of innovative technologies by promoting applied research, knowledge transfer from academia to industry, and collaboration between research institutions and industrial partners. Projects supported under the program are expected to advance technologies toward commercial implementation.
Eligible Applicants include:
- Industrial Corporations under the Applied Research in Industry program
- Technology Transfer Companies acting on behalf of academic institutions – under the Applied Research in Academia program
- Projects must include support from an industrial partner

Applications will be assessed based on:
- Technological innovation and scientific merit
- Feasibility of the proposed R&D plan
- Commercialization potential
- Market need and expected impact
- Quality of the project team
- Contribution to the Blue-Tech Energy ecosystem
- Potential benefit to Israel’s energy sector
Applications must meet the following criteria:
- Address one of the thematic areas listed in the call.
- Meet the requirements of the relevant sub-track.
- Demonstrate technological innovation.
- Present a clear R&D work plan and expected outcomes.
- Fall within the required Technology Readiness Level (TRL) range.
Application Process
Submission deadline: 15 September 2026, 12:00 PM (Israel Time).
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
- The application must be submitted by the eligible Israeli legal entity as defined in the relevant program regulations.
- Applicants should carefully review all applicable program regulations before submission.
