Dr. Assaf Horowitz, Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at the Israel Innovation Authority, is responsible for leading the Authority’s activities in the field of AI, advancing the implementation of Israel’s national AI strategy, and strengthening collaboration between government, academia, and industry.
Horowitz brings more than two decades of experience in scientific research, technology entrepreneurship, deep-tech company building, and the development of AI-based products. Over the past eight years, he served as founder and CEO of Brainvivo, a deep-tech company developing artificial intelligence technologies based on models of human brain activity. Previously, he was a co-founder of the Strauss Center for Computational Neuroimaging and led its establishment.
Horowitz holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience, a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Tel Aviv University. He is also a graduate of the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.
