In the current era, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence are changing the face of industry and everyday life. Accordingly, there is a growing need in Israel for experts in artificial intelligence and innovative technology in the worlds of machine learning and deep learning in various fields such as: image processing (Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing – NLP), generative AI, generative networks (GANs) as well as connection and application Artificial intelligence in unique content worlds, such as transportation, medicine, agriculture, energy industry, etc.
Program Description
This call for proposal is intended for companies with knowledge and experience of both working with experts from abroad, as well as providing assistance to their integration into Israeli hi-tech companies, optimal acclimatization of employees and their families or that have partnerships with entities and associations experienced in accompanying immigrants/returning Israelis/Jewish employees that are eligible under the Law of Return or in employing foreign experts.
In addition, these entities are required to be familiar and connected to potential companies in Israel, where there is a demand for researchers and AI experts in order to match the relevant international candidates with the needs of the company.
The processes of locating the researchers will focus on one or more of the above populations:
- New immigrants or those entitled under the Law of Return.
- Israelis who work abroad and are interested in returning to work in Israeli companies that are at the technological forefront in the field of AI .
- Foreign experts (who are not entitled under the Law of Return)
The researchers are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in at least one of the following fields: computer science, electrical and electronics engineering, data science, applied mathematics, bioinformatics and/or any corresponding relevant training that provides knowledge and expertise in the field of artificial intelligence and have cumulative work experience of at least 3 years in a knowledge-rich industry/high-tech in a position relevant to their academic training
Criteria
The application and the applicant must meet all the following cumulative threshold conditions at the time of submitting the application and during each implementation period of the approved program. An application that does not meet one of the following threshold conditions may be rejected or lead to the cancellation of the approved program, according to the following conditions:
- The applicant is a corporation that was legally incorporated and registered in Israel and adheres to the laws of the State of Israel.
- If the applicant is a non-profit organization or a Public Benefit Company (“PWB”) – and has a valid certification from the Associations Unit at the Israeli Corporations Authority and the PWB, for proper management, or alternatively, if two years have not yet passed from the opening of its business – an authorization for submitting their documents.
Despite what is stated in this call, an applicant who is an association or a non-profit organization, who does not hold a certification of proper management or an authorization of submitting such documents, as the case may be, at the time of applying, may present such certifications and authorizations until the date of signing a budget sheet and receiving a commitment letter by the benefit program.
- The request is intended to address one or more of the challenges in developing skilled human capital for the knowledge-intensive industry in Israel
- No financial assistance was received, directly or indirectly, from a government agency or the Innovation Authority, to carry out the case that is the subject of the request.
- The applicant does not have restricted accounts and is not in the process of receivership, freezing of proceedings, liquidation, etc.
