Yael Mazuz Harpaz appointed as VP of Policy at the Israel Innovation Authority

The Israel Innovation Authority is pleased to announce the appointment of Yael Mazuz Harpaz as VP of Policy. Yael brings and extensive background and experience from both the business and government sectors in managing and developing policy and strategy in various fields, including biotechnology, digital, and employment.

Among her previous roles, Yael served as VP of Operations at Ukko, an Israeli-American biotech startup developing treatments for food allergies, where she led the management of the company’s key projects and operational processes for conducting human clinical trials.

Additionally, Yael served as (Acting) Deputy for Economics and Implementation at the Israel Digital Headquarters, where she was responsible for building and managing a budget of about half a billion NIS and leading digital transformation processes of government services in healthcare, finance, law, and more.

Furthermore, Yael served as Chief of Staff to the Head of the Labor Division (currently the Director General of the Ministry of Labor), a role that included responsibility for leading cross-ministerial reforms and processes, budget planning and management, as well as coordinating the “Public Committee for Advancing Employment Policy for 2030”.
