Each hospital has unique interest areas, listed in the program guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conditions and Criteria<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must be registered and operating companies in Israel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The proposed project will be examined based on its innovation and excellence level, impact, the synergy between the partners, the capacity to execute, and the challenge it is trying to solve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">There are two possible collaboration tracks:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>R&amp;D Collaboration: in this track, joint R&amp;D is conducted and an agreement is reached between both partners (the Israeli company and international health center) regarding IP (intellectual property) share. The expenses of the international partner cannot be approved as part of the budget submitted to the Authority for funding.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pilot Collaboration: &nbsp;In this track, no new IP is created, and there is no joint development; rather, existing technology is adapted, and the Israeli company maintains absolute IP ownership. Under the following conditions, the international partner&#8217;s expenses may be recognized as part of the approved budget to be funded by the Israel Innovation Authority:\n<ul>\n<li>The international partner is regarded as a subcontractor and will have no ownership on the IP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When 10% or more of the approved budget is used to fund subcontractor expenses abroad, the Innovation Authority&#8217;s percentage of support in budgeting for subcontractor expenses abroad shall not exceed 30%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Examples for recognized expenses: The Israeli Company&#8217;s activity required to complete the project, such as renting equipment, personnel, and subcontractors, adapting a product for marketing, registering patents, and air travel.<br>Example for unrecognized expenses: Fees for IRB approval, health organization overheads, administrative, office, accounting, and legal expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The program is operated under the Israel Innovation Authority\u2019s International R&amp;D and Pilot track. <a href=\"https:\/\/innovationisrael.org.il\/route\/%d7%9e%d7%a1%d7%9c%d7%95%d7%9c-%d7%a7%d7%a8%d7%9f-%d7%a9%d7%aa%d7%a4-%d7%91%d7%99%d7%a0%d7%9c%d7%90%d7%95%d7%9e%d7%99-%d7%9c%d7%9e%d7%95%d7%a4-%d7%95%d7%9c%d7%a4%d7%99%d7%99%d7%9c%d7%95%d7%98\/\">See here (Hebrew)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Process<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The application process has&nbsp;<strong>two phases<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#c80077\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>First Phase \u2013 by November 14, 2022<\/strong>:<\/mark> submitting an Expression of Interest Form (EOI) to the chosen hospitals. See Hebrew website for full details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second Phase<\/strong>: selected companies will be invited to submit a full application to the Israel Innovation Authority.
