The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the UN\u2019s largest global event. Given the gravity of the climate crisis, the importance of this conference only increases with every passing year. This year, for COP29, 20 Israeli Climatech companies have been selected to present their innovative solutions at the Israeli Pavilion located at the BLUE ZONE between November 14-19, 2024 (not including Saturday and Sunday). Marine Edge is developing innovative regenerative technology to optimize efficiency for cargo ships, thus reducing fuel consumption and emissions.<\/p>

The effect of maritime transportation on our environment is tremendous. Ships burn billions of barrels of fuel every year, emitting billions of tons of CO2 in addition to pollutants such as NOx and SOx.<\/p>

Our technology captures and stores energy during low load phases and reintroduce it during high load phases. This unique approach ensures ongoing optimization to minimize fuel burn, especially when navigating through rough seas.<\/p>

Improving propulsion efficiency will lower fuel consumption and reduce emissions, while making the transition to cleaner fuels more accessible for shipping companies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Terrra is a technology for farmers and project developers to manage and monetize carbon removal.\u00a0\u00a0Operating since 2021, Terrra has already captured and monetized thousands of CO2e in Terrra-Santa, an Israeli project used as lab for the technology and POC for the business model under Verra certification.<\/p>

By managing agricultural assets on drained wetlands, as a wetland-like ecosystem, Terrra generates revenue from soil carbon, while allowing additional agriculture output above ground, such as fodder or biochar.<\/p>

Terrra\u2019s focuses are premium carbon removal, biodiversity and social impact. The Israeli project is created in collaboration with a nature rewilding NGO with focus on migrating birds, while taking part in high-school education with Ein-Shemer Greenhouse.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
