Companies from Israel and Shenzhen city (China) engaged in collaborative R&D projects are invited to apply for financial support through the Shenzhen-Israel R&D Cooperation Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Israel Innovation Authority in Israel and Shenzhen municipality’s Science, Technology & Innovation Commission, invite companies from Israel and the City of Shenzhen to submit joint proposals for industrial research and development projects under the Shenzhen-Israel R&D Cooperation Program.

During 2018 two calls for proposals will be launched:<\/strong>
7th call:<\/strong> 1st phase deadline – 30.6.18 \/ 2nd phase deadline – 28.7.18 
8th call:<\/strong> 1st phase deadline – 22.10.18 \/ 2nd phase deadline – 22.11.18

CRITERIA:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. At least two science and technology companies from the respective countries should express a desire to cooperate in the research and development of a new product or a new process . <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The project may involve more than one company from each side; 
    Please note:<\/strong> academic\/research entities are eligible to join only as sub-contractors . <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The product should be highly innovative with significant commercial potential. The joint industrial R&D project should aim at the development of products\/processes leading to commercialization in the global market . <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The project partners should agree in advance on the IP rights and on the commercialization strategy of the product or process. 
    Please note:<\/strong> For the submission phase, only an LOI (Letter of Intent), a preliminary agreement or draft MoU is required (the final agreement has to be presented to the funding authorities) . <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The project should demonstrate the contribution of the participants from both countries. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. The project must be balanced between participants and significant to both partners . <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    FUNDING: <\/strong>
    In Israel<\/strong> – The program financial support will not exceed 50% of the eligible and approved R&D costs, in the form of a conditional grant and in accordance with Israel Innovation Authority national laws and regulations.
     
    In Shenzhen<\/strong> – The support for Shenzhen-Israel projects is in the form of grant without repayment, in accordance with the Shenzhen Science, Technology & Innovation Commission (SZSTI) laws and regulations. T he total funding will not exceed 2 million RMB per project, for up to 50% of approved R&D expenses.

    HOW CAN I APPLY ? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Read completely the attached CFP Guidelines Document<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Fill out a Bilateral Cooperation Form <\/strong>(Phase I Application) together with your partner, and prepare the Letter of Intent re: IP plan .  The submitted form should be identical and filled either in English or both English and Chinese . <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Apply (1st phase)! Both companies (from Israel and Shenzhen) should submit their Bilateral Cooperation Form+Letter of Intent (LOI) via email to the Israeli and Shenzhen Program Managers according to the mentioned deadline.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Both Israel Innovation Authority and SZSTI representative will notify the companies weather they can proceed to 2nd phase submission. 2nd phase submission is done separately according to the forms, rules and regulations of Israel and Shenzhen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      PARTNER MATCHING ASSISTANCE\u00a0<\/strong>
      The current call for proposals is open to companies that already have identified partners and have a mature project plan. However, Israel Innovation Authority and Shenzhen Science, Technology and Innovation Commission can assist companies in identifying potential partners for R&D projects for future Calls for Proposals.
