As part of the National Drones Initiative (INDI) and following the success of the\u00a0first Call for Proposals<\/a>\u00a0to demonstrate drone operations in a managed airspace under predefined area conditions, the Israel Innovation Authority aims to expand control scope to enable a national thriving commercial sector on a national level, to this end we invite Israeli technology companies to participate in the second pilot program (TRL 6 and above) in managed airspace (U-Space) demonstrating automated coordination with the air traffic management entities operating at a country wide level (such as Israel Airports Authority, Air Force and Civil Aviation Authority of Israel).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the upcoming event, the need for smart air mobility and the goals of the Israel national drone initiative will be discussed along with the regulatory framework and challenges for this project. The second part of the meeting will be dedicated for presenting the call for proposals and the requirements needed for submitting a proposal.<\/p>\n

The Call for Proposals, operated in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel, the Ministry of Transport and the Fuel Choices and Smart Mobility Initiative, Ayalon Highways, and the Innovation Authority, will support a pilot that will demonstrate the operation of manned and unmanned aircrafts, including drones, with the aim of streamlining and improving transportation in Israel and to develop the ecosystem in this field.<\/p>\n
