The European Green Deal is a budget-intensive and comprehensive program that works to advance the goals set by the UN \u2013 to bring a neutral climate and a complete balance of greenhouse gas emissions in Europe by 2050, to advance the economy through green and clean technologies, and to bring about a sustainable economy, industry and society. Under the program, Europe strives to develop a new growth strategy that does not depend on overexploiting natural resources, and works to develop an efficient and competitive circular economy that reuses resources and without waste, in order to stop pollution.<\/p>\n
The program will provide a total of one billion euros to selected projects under the Horizon 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n The calls for proposals cover a variety of technologies in different sectors, including energy, environment, agriculture and food, transportation, security, construction and industry, as well as tools for mobilizing public engagement, raising awareness and changing lifestyles. The first\u00a0calls for proposals under the Green Deal<\/strong>, which\u00a0will\u00a0open in mid September\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a0submission deadline\u00a0<\/strong>being\u00a0January 2021<\/strong>. The aim of these calls is to\u00a0bring\u00a0innovative technological developments to the market within five years in the fields of climate and environmental protection.<\/p>\n In preparation for the submission date, ISERD, the European R&D Directorate at the Innovation Authority, invites industry companies, academic researchers and other entities in Israel to a series of online meetings, in which the calls for proposals and submission terms will be presented.<\/p>\n For furtner information on the\u00a0Green Deal Program<\/a><\/p>\n For information on the\u00a0webinar series<\/a><\/p>\n
