Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), together with Osaka Business and Investment Center (O-BIC) and Osaka Business Development Agency (OBDA) invite Israeli companies and start-ups to apply to join the – “Global Innovation Forum in Osaka” on October 26-28, 2020.

Program Description

OCCI and O-BIC invite Israeli companies in the areas of IoT, AI, FinTech, Digital Health, VR/AR, Mobility, etc to apply and participate in one of a kind forum in Osaka – “Global Innovation Forum”, where the selected companies will have a chance to be introduced  to the Japanese market, present their technologies, participate in pitch events and have B2B with the biggest corporates in Japan.

Tentative Schedule (subject to change):

Day 1 (Monday, Oct. 26,2020) Check in Hotel, Orientation, Booth setup

Day 2 (Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020)
Global Innovation Forum

  • Demonstrations to be given by companies

Day 3 (Wednesday Oct. 28, 2020)
Global Innovation Forum

  • Keynote speech
  • Pitches to be given by companies to VCs and Japanese companies (large to medium sized)
  • One to one business meetings with Japanese companies and VCs

 

Funding

  • Flight fee (up to nearly $1,600 per company.  To be paid by yen after arrival, or tickets to be arranged by OCCI)
  • Accommodation fee for 3 nights(including breakfast for 3 days)
  • Individual Booths (basic equipment only.  For additional equipment, cost will be held by startups)

arrow     Basic equipment which will be provided by OCCI:

 

  • 1 Counter
  • 1 Company sign
  • 1 Stool
  • Wi-Fi (there is data restriction, so videos will be asked to be filed locally in advance)

 

  • Interpretation fee:
    • For demonstration on main stage (10/27) : consecutive
    • For pitches (10/28) : simultaneous
    • One on one meetings (10/28): consecutive
  • Welcome dinner on the 26th of October

Criteria

  1. Startups with advanced technology in AI, IoT, Digital Health, VR/AR, Mobility, etc.
  2. Startups and Companies with test pilot models that are almost complete and are able to give demonstrations at the event room.
  3. Startups and Companies who wish to collaborate with Japanese or overseas companies (technology or capital)
